It’s been a funny old 2019, and a long time since I’ve posted on here, so apologies for that…

I’ve had some brilliant potential opportunities come up this year with auditions for UK tours, pantos and several callbacks for a major TV soap amongst others… but unfortunately none of them came through. It’s tough having these great roles pass so close by but end up going to someone else, however I’ve tried to keep myself busy and to keep looking forward to whatever comes along next.

Over the past few months I’ve also been working to add another skill to my freelance repertoire by training to become a Humanist Wedding Celebrant, which has been hugely interesting. It’s also given me an excuse to attend and observe some beautiful and unique wedding ceremonies which has definitely been a treat! (At Crewe Hall, for example - pictured above). For anyone that is interested to know more about Humanist Ceremonies, take a look at the Humanists UK Website.

In other news, it’s looking very likely that The Storm Officer will be back in the New Year, with a handful of dates already booked for February 2020 in the Midlands and other potential venues still to be confirmed. I’ll post another update on that once the tour dates are ready to share, but I’m excited to get back on the road with actor Gareth and technician Mick and have fun once again with this silly, heartfelt and increasingly relevant show about extreme weather in the UK.

Thanks for reading, and ta-ta for now!
